From the day we started planning our trip, one of Andi’s top requests was to make sure we watched the Royal Wedding. She was especially looking forward to watching it in a Commonwealth Country. I didn’t want to disappoint her with the news that Australia wasn’t as fanatic about the wedding as everyone back in the U.S. was. Quite frankly, most people were most concerned about making sure their footy game was still being played at the same time of the wedding.

We did a lot of searches online for royal wedding watch parties and events and luckily stumbled upon Mamor Chocolate’s Royal Wedding High Tea. Our lovely hostess, Dr. Hanna Frederick, had a beautiful array of treats including smoked salmon mousse (delish), almond crescents (yum), sponge cake (to die) and Mamor Chocolate truffles. We had the company of several other wonderful ladies from the Melbourne area who were just as filled with “ooh’s” and “ah’s” over the wedding and delectable bites we shared. We had nothing less than a fabulous time as we enjoyed champagne and tea over Duke William and Duchess Kate’s momentous occasion!

If you ever get a chance to explore Melbourne, be sure to visit Mamor Chocolates for a sweet treat or your own fabulous high tea experience. Hanna was the perfect hostess and even came to pick us up when we called to say we were lost!
